These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ChoppedFork website, mobile applications, platform, integrations, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using ChoppedFork, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the Service.
ChoppedFork is currently operated as a private, independent project and is currently provided free of charge. ChoppedFork currently does not charge subscription fees or display advertising. The Service, its features, and its business model may change in the future as described in these Terms.

ChoppedFork is a digital service designed to help users organize recipes, manage household food information, plan meals, and coordinate food-related activities with household members.
The Service may allow users to:
ChoppedFork is an organizational tool and does not provide professional nutritional, medical, dietary, allergy, or food-safety advice.
ChoppedFork is under ongoing development. Features may be changed, added, restricted, replaced, or removed over time.
Certain features of ChoppedFork require an account.
When creating or using an account, you agree that:
You must not impersonate another person or create an account for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
ChoppedFork may support authentication through external identity providers, such as Google. If you choose to authenticate through an external provider, your relationship with that provider is also subject to that provider’s terms and privacy practices.
ChoppedFork may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are involved in misuse of the Service.
ChoppedFork is intended for users aged 13 and older.
If you are under the age at which you may independently consent to applicable data processing in your country, authorization from a parent or guardian may be required for certain features. Some optional features may therefore be unavailable where applicable age or consent requirements cannot be satisfied.
Users may create, import, store, edit, organize, and share content through ChoppedFork.

This content is referred to as “User Content”.
You retain ownership of the User Content that you create, subject to any rights belonging to third parties.
ChoppedFork does not acquire ownership of your User Content merely because you store or process it through the Service.
You grant ChoppedFork a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, process, reproduce, transmit, transform, and display your User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service and to provide features you choose to use.
This includes processing necessary to provide household sharing, recipe importing, AI-assisted functionality, and integrations that you expressly choose to use.
This license does not transfer ownership of your User Content to ChoppedFork.
Recipes that are not shared with a household or another supported feature are intended to remain accessible only to the user who created or imported them.
ChoppedFork will not intentionally make private recipes available to other ChoppedFork users through household-sharing functionality.
If you authorize an external integration or AI assistant to access your recipes, information made available through that integration may be processed outside ChoppedFork as described in Section 11 and in the Privacy Policy.
No online service can guarantee that information will never be accessed as a result of a security incident, technical failure, or unauthorized access.
ChoppedFork allows users to create and participate in households.
A household allows members to share selected information with one another.

The creator of a household normally acts as the household owner.
The household owner may be able to:
Information shared within a household may be visible to all current members of that household.
ChoppedFork is not responsible for disputes between household members regarding information shared within the household.
Users should only share information with household members that they are comfortable making available to those members.
ChoppedFork allows household owners to generate invitation links.
Invitation links are temporary and normally expire after seven (7) days unless otherwise specified by the Service.
Anyone who obtains a valid invitation link during its active period may potentially join the associated household.
Household owners are responsible for sharing invitation links only with people they trust.
ChoppedFork may introduce additional security measures, limitations, or expiration periods for invitation links.
ChoppedFork is not responsible for unauthorized household membership resulting from a user intentionally or accidentally sharing an invitation link with an unintended recipient.
ChoppedFork allows household members to maintain a shared pantry.
Pantry information may include food items, quantities, units, and related information entered by household members.
Pantry information is intended to be shared only with members of the relevant household and with integrations that a user has authorized to access that household.
Pantry information is not made publicly available through ChoppedFork.
ChoppedFork may provide shared household shopping-list functionality.
Household members may be able to add, edit, remove, check, or clear shopping-list items.
Authorized integrations may also perform these actions where the user has granted the relevant permission and requested the action.
Users should review automatically generated or AI-assisted shopping-list content before relying on it.
ChoppedFork may provide shared household calendar and meal-planning functionality.
Information entered into a shared household meal plan or calendar may be visible to members of the relevant household.
Authorized integrations may be able to read or modify meal-planning information where the user has granted the relevant permission.
Users are responsible for the information they enter into shared household calendars and meal plans.
ChoppedFork does not guarantee the accuracy, nutritional suitability, or availability of recipes or meal plans.
ChoppedFork may allow users to import recipes or recipe information from external sources, including supported URLs, text, images, and media.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to use, process, and store imported content.
ChoppedFork does not claim ownership of third-party content imported by users.
You acknowledge that imported recipes, images, videos, text, or other materials may be subject to copyright, contractual restrictions, platform rules, or other rights belonging to third parties.
ChoppedFork does not generally verify whether a user has permission to import particular content.
You must not use ChoppedFork to store, process, or distribute content in a way that infringes the rights of another person or organization.
If you believe content stored on ChoppedFork infringes your rights, please contact ChoppedFork using the contact information provided in these Terms.
You may only submit media or URLs that you have the right to use for the relevant purpose.
You agree not to use import functionality to download, reproduce, or process content in violation of applicable law, third-party rights, or the source platform’s applicable terms.
ChoppedFork may restrict or disable particular import methods at any time.
ChoppedFork may provide features that use artificial intelligence, machine learning, speech recognition, optical character recognition, language models, or similar technologies.
These features may be used for purposes such as:
AI-generated or AI-assisted output may be incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate for a particular user.
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated results before relying on them, particularly where food safety, allergies, dietary restrictions, quantities, temperatures, or cooking instructions are involved.
ChoppedFork may allow you to connect external applications or AI assistants, including services that use the Model Context Protocol (“MCP”), APIs, OAuth, API tokens, or similar integration mechanisms.
Examples may include Claude or other compatible AI assistants or applications.
These external services are not operated by ChoppedFork unless expressly stated otherwise.
Depending on the permissions you choose to grant, an authorized integration may be able to access information such as:
Some integrations may also be permitted to create, update, or delete ChoppedFork data if you grant the relevant permissions.
ChoppedFork may use separate permissions or scopes for different types of access, such as read access, write access, or deletion access.
You should only authorize integrations that you trust and should grant only the permissions necessary for the functionality you want to use.
Where an integration allows actions that change or delete data, you are responsible for reviewing the instructions you give to the external service and the resulting changes.
ChoppedFork may implement technical safeguards, permission controls, confirmations, or other restrictions, but cannot guarantee that an external AI system will always interpret your instructions correctly.
When you choose to use an external AI assistant or connected service, that service may process information under its own terms and privacy policy.
ChoppedFork does not control how an independent third-party service processes information after you intentionally make that information available to the service.
You are responsible for reviewing the terms and privacy practices of external services before connecting them.
References to third-party services do not imply sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement unless expressly stated.
ChoppedFork may allow you to create or authorize credentials that permit external applications to access parts of your account.

API tokens and similar credentials should be treated as passwords.
You agree not to intentionally publish or expose credentials that provide access to your ChoppedFork account.
If you believe a credential has been exposed, you should revoke it promptly and create a new credential where appropriate.
You are responsible for integrations that you intentionally authorize, subject to applicable law.
ChoppedFork may revoke, restrict, expire, or disable integration credentials where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, or operation of the Service.

ChoppedFork may restrict access to the Service, integrations, or particular features where reasonably necessary to protect ChoppedFork, its users, or third parties.
The ChoppedFork platform, including its software, design, branding, logos, interfaces, and original materials, is owned by or licensed to ChoppedFork.
You may not, except where permitted by applicable law:
These Terms do not grant you ownership rights in the ChoppedFork platform.

ChoppedFork aims to provide a reliable Service but does not guarantee that the Service will always be:

ChoppedFork takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information.
However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

You may delete your ChoppedFork account using the account-deletion functionality provided by the Service.
Deleting your account is intended to remove your account and associated User Content from the active Service, subject to applicable legal or technical retention requirements.

Because some information may be shared with other household members, deletion may affect information available to the household.
Some information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or technical systems until those systems are overwritten or records expire.
Certain information may also be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Once an account has been deleted, it may not be possible to recover it or its associated content.
Deleting your ChoppedFork account does not automatically delete information already processed or retained by an independent external service that you previously connected. You may need to exercise deletion rights separately with that provider.
ChoppedFork is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.
